❓What happened to the human striving for excellence?
I have been asking myself this question many times lately, especially in terms of quality and quality expectations in the translation field.
How have we ended up building our narrative just around the concept of AI and its advantages, by losing the touch to what is inherently human?
As a professional translator and interpreter always striving for the highest quality in my daily work, I am not willing to accept this slow normalisation of "good enough" and I want to believe neither do most of the people and companies out there.
This is a question for all organisations: at what stage of your translation process do you usually use AI? What are your quality expectations when it comes to translating your content in another language?
